‘There’s confidence in NHS Direct’
The government has confirmed it is planning to scrap the NHS Direct telephone service in England and replace it with a cheaper option.

Economic Confidence Highest in D.C., Iowa, Minn., N.D.
Three upper Midwestern states — Iowa, Minnesota, and North Dakota — and the District of Columbia scored the highest on Gallup’s Economic Confidence Index in the first half of 2010. All 50 states’ scores were in negative territory, though, with West Virginia having the lowest score.
